This Energy Star-rated Danby Premiere dehumidifer features a large 70 pint tank to reliably draw moisture out of the air in areas up to 3,200 square feet in size. Capable of pulling up to 70 pints of moisture out of the air in a 24-hour period, this dehumidifier helps create a comfortable living or working environment by making indoor air easier to breathe and preventing damage such as sweating walls and damp floors from occurring. Dehumidifiers are successful in preventing the growth of mold and mildew. A rear direct drain enables the empyting of all collected moisture while the dehumidifier is in operation, All functions are controlled electronically, with a practical remote control unit and large LED displays making the dehumidifier easy to use. Removable electrostatic air filters remove airborne contaminates at the same time, and residual moisture is evaporated by the auto-dry function, preventing the spread of bacteria and mold. The Danby Premiere series dehumidifiers use a new coolant technology called R410A. R410A coolant is more environmentally friendly than the more common R22 coolant. R410A is a blended coolant that contains no chlorine and does not deplete the ozone layer. The technology behind the R410A is so advanced that the EPA recommends dehumidifiers using this forward-thinking technology over the conventional R22 systems.
