For areas up to 2,500 square feet in size, this Danby Premiere series 50 pint dehumidifier is the perfect tool to combat high indoor humidity levels and related moisture issues. This dehumidifier model is capable of pulling up to 50 pints of moisture from the air we breathe in a 24-hour period, making indoor air easier to breathe, and prevents the growth of mold and mildew as well as sweating walls and damp floors. A rear drain allows for draining of the collected moisture while the unit is in operation, and an auto dry function removes residual moisture inside the unit. Electronic controls and a LED display offer complete visible control over all functions, and a practical remote control lets you change settings from your armchair. The Danby Premiere series dehumidifiers use a new collant technology called R410A. R410A coolant is more environmentally friendly than the more common R22 coolant. R410A is a blended coolant that contains no chlorine and does not deplete the ozone layer. The technology behind the R410A is so advanced that the EPA recommends dehumidifiers using this forward-thinking technology over the conventional R22 systems. It arrived in great shape and was easy to install. This is a quality machine and has been running continuously in my basement for three weeks. No more dampness. I highly recommend this product!
