Anyone who's been in an attic knows that temperatures can reach extremes. You can make the excessive heat during the summer months a little more bearable by installing a good attic fan. At the peak of summer heat, an attic's temperature can reach an excess of 100 degrees. Even if you don't spend that much time in your attic, this heat can warm your whole house, and that can be expensive if you use central air conditioning to cool off. An attic fan and proper ventilation will help keep air circulating, allowing for more moderate temperatures. There are plenty of options for attic fans – such as adjustable thermostats to regulate how often they operate. For the most part, installation and operation of these fans is relatively inexpensive.
