The IQAir® HealthPro® air purifier features a technologically advanced two configuration filtering system to eliminate almost 100% of household allergens, pollutants, and even odors. First, air is drawn in through the bottom of the unit and into the PreMax™ pre-filter which removes large particles such as pollen and pet dander. The internal fan then moves air through the HyperHEPA® filter to eliminate small particles such as viruses, bacteria, and dust mites down to 0.003 microns. Air is then returned back out into the room through the top of the unit. The HyperHEPA® filter is made from the same materials found in hospital clean room air purifiers. The IQAir® HealthPro® features a spare compartment to add the optional IQAir® V5-Cell™ to aid in the eradication of bad odors and fumes. The V-5 Cell™ features six pounds of activated carbon and activated alumina with potassium permanganate. This extra filter is easy to install and significantly reduces the amount of gases and bad odors in the air. The V-5 Cell™ gas and odor filter comes standard with the IQAir HealthPro Plus® air purifier, but must be purchased separately with the standard IQAir HealthPro® model.
